Tiki Talk - by Tom Thordarson of THOR ART - This piece is a Monochrome study for what was expanded upon to become "Lil' Lanai Off Molokai". It focuses on the carved Tiki's which almost seem to be having a conversation of their own! Many times, I do studies like this that become under-paintings, where color and further details are layered upon. This works as a composition alone and I was encouraged by several collectors to publish these monochrome studies in the earth tones they were created in.
