Inspired by a little cove I recalled from memory on the Big Island (Hawaii)... I was perhaps 17 at the time and was visiting my cousins in Kailua-Kona. I took shells, a couple of old glass net floats and made a tiki from an old palm tree log. I fantasized of living on the beach forever in a hut made from things found on the shore. This painting illustrates the way I would have realized that fantasy, perhaps.
Tropical flowers, roaring Hawaiian waves, and palm trees make for a pleasant escape at this seaside beach hut!
